Problem installing FreeSWITCH on Debian — “401 Unauthorized” error from SignalWire repo
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to install FreeSWITCH on Debian, but I’ve run into an issue.
Previously, I successfully installed it using this guide:
FreeSWITCH Installation Guide on Debian 12
apt-get update && apt-get install -y gnupg2 wget lsb-release- Hit:1 http://deb.debian.org/debian trixie InRelease
- Hit:2 http://deb.debian.org/debian trixie-updates InRelease
- Hit:3 http://security.debian.org/debian-security trixie-security InRelease
- Hit:4 http://ftp.debian.org/debian trixie-backports InRelease
- Err:5 https://freeswitch.signalwire.com/repo/deb/debian-release trixie InRelease
- 401 Unauthorized [IP: 190.102.98.174 443]
- Reading package lists... Done
- E: Failed to fetch https://freeswitch.signalwire.com/repo/deb/debian-release/dists/trixie/InRelease 401 Unauthorized [IP: 190.102.98.174 443]
- E: The repository 'https://freeswitch.signalwire.com/repo/deb/debian-release trixie InRelease' is no longer signed.
- N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
- N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
- W: Target Sources (main/source/Sources) is configured multiple times in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/freeswitch.list:2 and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/freeswitch.list:3
It seems like the SignalWire FreeSWITCH repository is rejecting connections (401 Unauthorized) and may not have packages for Debian “Trixie” yet.
Has anyone else run into this issue or found a workaround ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
